Welcome to www.lifeandhealth.org!
I wasn't always a "health nut"... quite the opposite,
in fact. When I had my health, I took it for granted;
and, in many ways abused it. As a result of various
contributing factors, my life came to a screeching
halt. Serious health problems replaced what had been
a very active lifestyle. Some of those challenges
included Systemic Lupus Erythematosis (SLE), Chronic
Fatigue Syndrome (CFS), Fibromyalgia, Ulcerative Colitis, and fighting on-and-off
bouts of paralysis from the neck down for over three years.
Complications also arose from adverse reactions to
medications--including a drug-induced psychosis, and an 80%
loss of my eyesight for about a year. Doctors tried valiantly
to help me; yet, there were many times when I nearly died.
My interest in developing this site stems from the tremendous benefits I have received from using the information it promotes--particularly the NEWSTART® Lifestyle Program and a vegetarian/vegan diet. Simple, natural remedies--such as the use of herbs, hydrotherapy, and charcoal--have augmented the solid health principles found in the *NEWSTART® program. The discovery and use of certain health products (Antioxidants, Pycnogenol and Proanthenols, and Colloidal Silver) have also been beneficial. I have had the opportunity to visit several of the Educational / Lifestyle and Health Centers listed here which have added to my knowledge and experience in the art of regaining one's health. And last, but not least, the help and information which I have obtained from various books, tapes, and videos has been invaluable. In the Resources section of this Web site I have included many of the items that I personally use along with a number of others which you may find helpful.
The name for this Web site is based on two Bible texts: "...I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly." John 10:10, KJV (emphasis mine) "Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth." III John 1:2, KJV (emphasis mine) It is my sincere hope that the information contained in this site will enhance the quality of your life, as it has mine. As owner and "Webcritter" of the LifeandHealth.org Web site, all aspects of its existence, development and maintenance are rooted here. However, the generous contributions and support of R.
